Telemedicine
UTN provides expertise, project management and technical assistance to set up clinical telemedicine programs for private and public healthcare organizations throughout the State. We welcome opportunities to collaborate with you to develop innovative healthcare delivery programs and partner with you on available grant opportunities. Our technical staff will assist you with equipment selection and provide technical assessments. All patient exams are confidential and are done over a secure network.
Clinical telemedicine services are facilitated through UTN, using real time interactive videoconferencing for patient consultations and follow up care; plus, store and forward technologies, such as teleradiology and remote home monitoring of patients.
All health care providers are trained in telemedicine and follow their healthcare organizations’ policies and procedures for patient exams. A patient must be informed about what a telemedicine exam is and sign an informed consent prior to the telemedicine visit. UTN will assist health care providers to develop new clinical telemedicine services.
